We built everything you see from scratch beginning in 2014, on a property my husband had been farming conventionally for many years.
We moved our original chicken coop, cattle, and the entire raised bed garden, (dirt and all), from our old farm and started everything over from scratch - what an undertaking it was! Once here we expanded the garden, built a much larger coop, new barns, and added our Kune Kune pigs, Royal Palm Turkeys, and have expanded to every farm critter you can think of!
Together as a family we hand-built our beautiful log home and all you see in the pictures over the course of two years, and it is always a work in progress as we are continually adding and updating as we grow and learn.
Our entire farm is completely off-grid, so everything produced here, and our day to day life is done using the power of the sun.
We use a rotational grazing system, which we believe is the most sustainable and best for our livestock and the land.
Everything here is quite labor-intensive, but worth the extra effort. The farm is primarily run by myself and my two children. We truly love what we do.
If you put good in, you get good out!
Welcome to our homestead!
